Amekicolor was founded by Jacques Rusirare in Kigali with a small production facility and a vision to create high-quality paints for the Rwandan market.
We expanded our production capabilities and introduced water-based paints, becoming the first manufacturer in Rwanda to offer eco-friendly paint solutions.
Amekicolor received the National Quality Excellence Award for our commitment to product quality and environmental responsibility.
We invested in state-of-the-art production technology and expanded our facility in Kicukiro, doubling our production capacity.
Amekicolor began exporting to neighboring countries, sharing Rwandan quality craftsmanship across East Africa.

With over 40 years of experience in the paint industry, Jacques Rusirare has been the driving force behind Amekicolor's success. His vision for creating a world-class paint manufacturing company in Rwanda has transformed the construction and home improvement landscape across the country.
Jacques holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rwanda and completed advanced studies in polymer science in Belgium. His technical expertise combined with his business acumen has positioned Amekicolor as an industry leader.
